Compressive Strength Test (Nepal)

Compressive Strength: (Tested In Nepal) :

Test was carried out on central material testing laboratory- institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. During the test 2 specimen of concrete was made with 2 sample in each specimen. In 1st specimen 350 kg of cement was taken and two samle was made calculating coarse aggregrate, fine aggregrate water. 1st sample was made with 5% silica and 2nd sample was made without using silica. Similarly, in 2nd specimen 475 kg of cement was taken and two samle was made calculating coarse aggregrate, fine aggregrate water. 1st sample was made with 5% silica and 2nd sample was made without using silica.

This table shows the test result. Here slump test was carried out measuring the slump and water cement ratio then the compressive strength for 7 days and 28 days were observed in all 4 samples of concrete. Its clear from the table that the compressive strength goes on increasing with use of silica cement admixture which can be up to 15 % with use of normal OPC.

This is the combined result for 6 different specimen of concrete using diffret types of OPC on different quantity. Here we can clearly observe that the concrete strength goes on increasing with use of silica cement admixture. Also concrete strength goes on increasing with ageing and it increases more when silica cement admixture is used
